Irrigation upgrades

Improve performance without replacing what still works.

Solutions / Irrigation upgrades
Common symptoms
Low pressure
Uneven application
Recurring pipe failures

Irrigation systems rarely fail all at once. They drift, through years of modifications, extensions and repairs that each made sense at the time but together leave you with a system that no longer performs as it should. Low pressure, uneven application and recurring pipe failures are symptoms of that drift, not isolated faults.

We keep what still works and improve what does not. Finding exactly where the constraints sit means we can design a targeted upgrade instead of a replacement, which restores performance and gets more years out of infrastructure you have already paid for.

How we approach irrigation upgrades

We start by understanding the system you already have, then work out which changes will make the biggest difference for the least money. You decide how much to take on and when.

01
System evaluation

We review the system to establish where it is underperforming and why. Pump output, pipe condition, pressure distribution and flow rates are measured against what you are asking the system to do today, which shows us exactly which components and layouts are holding it back.

02
Upgrade recommendations

From what we find, we set out the upgrades that will do the most for hydraulic performance, water application and operating cost. Each one is ranked by impact and cost, so you can see where to start and what can wait.

03
Pump assessment and optimisation

Pump performance changes over time as equipment wears and demand on the system grows. We measure output against what the system now needs and recommend the least costly fix that works, whether that is refurbishment, a different pump, or rebalancing the system around the capacity you already have.

04
Pipe, pressure and coverage improvements

Pressure problems come from accumulated changes to pipe layout, flow rates and demand that have pulled the hydraulics away from what the system was originally designed to do. We model the whole system to find the critical constraints, then recommend the cheapest route back to even pressure and even application across the scheme.

Where expansion or a change of crop has outgrown the existing capacity, we design extensions and modifications that increase coverage without replacing the whole system.

05
Construction-ready deliverables

You receive construction-ready drawings, bills of quantities and specifications. Your contractors have everything they need to do the work without guessing, and you know the cost before a single pipe is replaced.

Most systems have more life in them than their owners think.

Before you budget for a replacement, find out what a targeted upgrade would cost and how many years it would buy you.
